Ice Out

I can always hope today was pretty cold with snowflakes falling.
Nothing stuck thank goodness.

It is very late for ice out to be called on both of the big lakes here.
It is called when you can go from one end of the lake to the far end of the other. Or on Winnipesaukee when the boat the Mt Washington can call on all its ports.

I have been working on getting Easter, all organized it looks like 18 of us this year including 5 littles. Once the kids hit high school they are out of the egg hunt
. Sadly, this is my grand's last family egg hunt ohhh it almost hurt to write that! One of my favorite parts of Easter is having my Sweet B and family overnight the night before. Such a nice time to be together, play some games before the rest of the family shows up.

More watercolor big mistake with this one but at least I got to sit down and paint today.

We have had a couple of nice days this week I got to have lunch on our porch and read a bit.
***
Husband had a sleep test last night I promised not to take pictures of him all wired up. We will know more later.
We went to Home Depot they had a sale on
mulch 2.00 a bag. I do not do a lot, but I have some areas I like to have mulch. I got 15 bags, so I have some work ahead of me.
Happy Easter !

What does SLA stand for?
Was quite windy today and tomorrow will be chilly but sunny. I miss all the holiday meals with my mother and step-father and the rest of our family.

Oh how I miss doing the egg hunts myself with my grands. At least I have the memories. Cheers to good weather for your egg hunt. Janice

Why is it your last Easter egg hunt - the grands too old now? And Ice Out day - is this your end to winter? I like your watercolor!

So far the weather here, seems to be heading more into a warmer spring, but always rain here and there. It is hard to see them grow up, I won't be doing an egg hunt, but I might do a treasure hunt with clues and a bag of goodies at the end. Your watercolors are coming out nicely. Mine are more like a coloring book but each one has a lesson, so a good way to learn and just enjoy it.

We were supposed to have snow yesterday, but it never came. It was really cold and windy though.
I like your watercolor!
I've been getting Easter bags ready too, but only need 3. :)

This afternoon the sun came out and it was almost pleasant. Our spring weather days have been few and far between.
I think the watercolor looks great! Are your classes ongoing?
That is quite a group you will have for Easter. Miss B is getting all grown up!
You didn’t even sneak one pic of hubby all wired up? 🤣🤣🤣

The coloured eggs are so pretty. They look like very large jelly beans.

Late for your ice out but I bet it's pretty. You must be very fit and healthy to be putting down that much mulch! Your plants will be fit and healthy too! Happy Easter to you and your family.

We are our own worst critics. I really like your painting. Happy Easter. I just woke up to rain.

Forgot to mention, I got the same Home Depot deal as you, but I got 30 bags and I’m guessing that will only do part of my yard. I haven’t mulched in years. I have my work cut out for me…sigh.

I'm getting a sleep test but not looking forward to it. Wish they'd let me bring the cat as a security blanket. We're doing an egg hunt for the boys I dread the day they're too old!

I love that you got a sale on the mulch. Sleep study sounds good. It's soooo important to sleep and rest. Cold here this morning, like winter and this afternoon it's delightful.

Thank you for your suggestion on the blog posting and class feed posting. There is a great power in having a set time and use to have set days however right now, I can't commit to a schedule for this. I shoot for around once a week. Many on Wednesday though it's okay if not. Just that I stay with at least once per week on both is the goal with everything else I'm working on.

Maybe once the book is done, I'll go back to a set day.

Much thanks!

I love your painting! I always dread the mulching of beds. I am still cleaning out those early weeds that try to take over. We always loved those early morning Easter egg hunts with the kiddos; great memories though.

It is raining here now...and it's almost 11 pm. Here in Nod, it's a grand achievement that it is not snow. Still many nights below freezing, so no. getting TOO excited. Wishing you a blessed and happy Easter celebration...egg hunt included. I used to do egg hunts for my nieces and nephews before I had my son but then, when he came along, things changed as he and his cousin were the only ones. I had hoped to do something simple for my grand but she will not be here sadly. It will be a very quiet and solitary holiday here. Good luck to hubby on the sleep test. I knew I could not do one in the clinic so did a home study. Eeek. ~Robin~ (OK...do tell, what was the big mistake with the watercolor? I think it looks great?)

Glad spring is making progress. Hope the sleep test gives you the information you need. We just got a few inches of snow and it doesn't want to go away.
