Busy Few Days

Monday night I hosted my women's group. Everyone brought appitizers it was so nice to catch up.
Tuesday we headed for a matinee to see "Downton Abby The Final Chapter." Fabulous!
Today I got a new washer delivered. Oh the things that thrill us lol!
I went to my first fall rug hooking class today. Nice to get back to it. I also made a weight watchers pumpkin pie...umm just ok
This evening I met a friend for dinner out. We enjoy our outing so much. We put our heads together to plan more fall hikes.
Lots of bus tours in our area leaf peeping a bit early.
          ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Enjoy the rest of your week!

  1. Yes you have been busy! Me, too, but not in fun ways.
Tell us more about your rug hooking class, please.

  2. Your women's group with everyone bringing appetizers sounds like fun. I know you were glad to get back to rug hooking.
I need to do some Fall hikes too - before the weather changes!

  3. Busy days, indeed! Even though it's a fun kind of busy, I'd be wiped out. Yes, do tell us about the rug hooking class! I live vicariously, you know. ;-)

  4. The motorcycle traffic has picked up here - early leaf peepers I imagine. Leaves are falling but not with much color. Strange to have such crunchy leaves under my feet.

  5. I love your quote, I need a long visit with some squirrels, in the woods. Your pie does look yummy. I am so glad your leaves are changing, it means fall is on the way. I think its nice you have friends to have visits with. I hope you get to do lots of hikes.

  7. LOVE the pumpkin dessert. How cool is that. Fun on the classes too and it sounds like your Autumn is rolling along very well. I love that! My fave 🎃

Regarding your comment: We had The Halloween Baking Championship on Discovery Plus back when we had that. We don't have cable or even TV. But we do alternate streaming services.

Did Food Network do something that you didn't like? Or do you rotate streaming services as well?

  8. Our trees are turning quickly here because of the drought. We're supposed to get rain next week and I'm praying that's true! I'm going to see Downton tomorrow with my BFF Donna (she directed me to your blog years ago!) Your hikes are probably the prettiest ones! You live in a fabulous area. I bet the tourist thing is kind of a pain though. Enjoy the first day of Fall on Monday! P.S..Don't know if you saw my last comment but a Squam Lake home was in Country Living magazine this month!

  10. I giggled out loud about the last quote. YES!!! I am one of those people that like to go to the woods and rather talk to squirrels. I am so ready to go hiking. It is sooo hot here and no rain.

  14. Our leaves are also changing quickly this year. We're in a severe drought here as well. It's been years since I walked in the woods. I'm not found of squirrels although they are cute and fun to watch as they ate all my tulip bulbs and ruined on of my soffits that cost a lot of money to fix. They also ruined some of my bird feeders.

It's getting colder especially early in the morning. Almost time to lit the wood stove.
    Hugs, Julia
