Thank You♡

I want to thank  you all for the thoughtful comments and emails I got on the passing of my sister in law Sue. ❤️ I shared them all with my husband. Plans have been made and a celebration of life will be held soon.
Today would have been my mom's birthday and I am missing her too even though she passed years ago.

The heat is on again and there has been little rain. We are watering the veggies with the rain barrel and I am watering flowers 2x a day. The trees are heat stressed and dropping leaves. I am heat stressed too, how I hate it!

My blueberries are winding down I got a few for my breakfast but that is it.
And since I have stayed inside more I am painting a bit.
I went to our dump store last week and found a pk of Christmas cards that take pictures that was never opened. So I painted a tree cut it to fit voila custom christmas cards!! Only 24 more to paint lol. I have been looking on line for other ideas to paint.
 ***************************
      Have a wonderful weekend.

We never get over losing our parents and will always miss them.
It's been so dry here but yesterday we got 2 inches of rain, more than what we've gotten in the whole rest of summer combined!

I get that. I miss my mom too. Her birthday is coming up (ish). Glad you got some blueberries. I have some as well. So very tasty.

Happy birthday to mom in heaven.
I am a summer loving gal but the heat and humidity have been oppressive.
Your painting looks great!

We had a bit of rain here this afternoon but probably didn't filter down under the trees. Dan has been trying to resurrect the grass that died while we were away on vacation. We got a new sprinkler to do that. It's helped all the garden beds too.
I have a photo of my mom smiling at me here on my desk and one of my parents and another with all my siblings and parents. Lost Dad in '07 and Mom in '13. I still think of things I want to ask them.

Our weather has tempered and we are pretty much "average" now...little bit above (high of 76º today). We had rain last weekend but none the past 3 days. I've been tending the "hooker-down-the-road"'s garden for the week and between it and mine, it seems like a lot of watering going on. Love your paintings...your card recipients are lucky people indeed.

It's been many years since my Mom died too and I still have "conversations" with her in my head.💖

I'm glad you have some creative ventures into which you can lose yourself a bit in these post-loss days. It always feels to me like one significant loss in the present triggers memories of a significant loss in the past, like your mom. I've come to realize that no matter how old we get,we still want our moms. Meanwhile, your Christmas tree is one of the nicest I've ever seen and what a brilliant idea for those holiday card frames!

So sorry for your loss Cathy and like you I miss my Mom every day. She appeared many times in my blog posts over the years. It's been 49yrs since my Dad passed and he is missed always too. Your painting is so good! My sister's is coming along also. Maybe a few snowmen for Christmas? Although, for some reason, the pine tree speaks to me! Ha! The heat is on here too and we did get a little rain the other day but it's been a dry August and I really don't like watering every day! Have a good weekend Cathy.
