Kentucky Derby Time

This picture has not been enhanced in anyway. The green so beautiful and the fog telling of rain to come.
****
This is my back yard. When I first started this post, I was going to use a quote. I thought I deleted it, but it seems this picture went over the top of it. Now I cannot delete it unless I delete the whole post. I have never had anything like this happen before anyone out there that knows how to fix it?

I glued up a fancy hat...

And headed out for a fun party! Not sure why I am leaning in this picture, but we had so much fun. The hostess had mint julips, fun and games with door prizes and great little treat bags.

Rain for the next few days. I have done some housework and now I will sit and hook this afternoon.
The rain is needed for the gardens; everything is the bright lime green that you wait for all winter.
Happy Spring My Sweet Friends

Love your Derby Day hat! We watched at Carson's communion dinner -- it was fun! (My horse came in second!)

That first photo is eerily cool. Unfortunately I couldn't enlarge it like I usually can...it redirected to a meme. Weird. GREAT hat!! (And you look adorable!) Next year I'm having you do my hat. I had to borrow my skeleton's hat. Our rain must have moved your way...today is a perfect, sunny, day with highs in the upper 60's. It won't stay but it's wonderful now. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

That sounds like so much fun! Love your hat! Wasn't that a muddy track for those horses?

I've never had a mint julip nor have I been to the Kentucky Derby or had a derby party. I also tried enlarging the first photo and guess it was found on the internet.

Cute hat! We are having rain and I feel like it is green rain. The grass is so green now and gets brighter every day. All the plants are growing many inces every day.
