Finally the clouds gave way and gave us a lovely memorial Day
I knew once the plants got some sun they would grow like crazy.
Sweet woodruff and forget-me-nots.
I scooped Sweet B up after school and we went for a luxury foot soak. We ordered a Charticuire boad and some tea drinks and relaxed. A great thing to do before her big recital weekend.
She was amazing! She is on toe now plus tap and jazz. Here she is with mom and dad.
Every year they raffle a handmade quilt my daughter and I pooled our money and put Bs name on the tickets and she won!!
On another note I was able to go to a thrift store on my way to get my grand. This beautiful linen shirt 1.50
And this sweater 2.00 a steal! And I brought in a bag to drop off, win win!
I have some left over chicken soup for dinner tonight a very easy dinner.

Yay! So glad the sun found you!! Ahhh...Miss B is positively glowing! If she keeps going like that, she'll be prima ballerina of a famous company someday! How sweet to have a spa treatment with your granddaughter! She is so lovely! Such a great win for the pretty quilt! I am sure she will treasure that forever. Great finds at the thrift store too!
A happy post, the sunshine has returned, time with your granddaughter, love the quilt win, and awesome finds at the thrift store. I do miss not going to a thrift store. closer to the woods house we a couple really nice ones. There is a small one not too far from us now that supports animals-I have been thinking of checking that out.

Lucky B to win that quilt! Every Memorial day, I always think of those who have died for this country and think that we should have children be more aware of the meaning, rather than let them think of mattress sales.

I can see your Memorial day was nice. Ours too! We've had some sunny days and we got lots of stuff planted...hopefully we'll get the mulch done this week. Always something! Congrats to Miss B on a good recital! You're the best Grandma to celebrate and relax with her!

i am happy your clouds have parted. a spa foot soak with a young girl is always so special....i take my nieces and they love it, i love the time with them. how nice miss b won the quilt, it will alway remind her of this special time in her life!!
