I try to get out early before the sun gets too hot.
Watering to be done and plants need to be cut back and weeded daily.
We had someone come today to take a look at our chimney (it needs repointed and a cap.) He made me feel like all the hard work was worth it. He kept commenting on the gardens and landscaping.
I found this rock from the wall on the right now who or what do you think did that?
My neighbor loaned me a book about watercolor painting.
One quote I read was "You have got to ruin a lot of paper"
So, I am back to painting I hope daily.
It is still so horribly hot, and I am not happy about it either.
Trying not just have ice cream for dinner and calling it good.
So, I have diet root beer with a about a tablespoon of heavy cream in it. It tastes a lot like a root beer float. Is it the same? Nope but it is a good refresher. I very rarely drink soda, so it is a treat.
One of the ideas with the rubber stamps is I made my own ribbon.
I just ripped a long piece of fabric any size you want and stamped it.
I am using colored pencils to color them in.

Like I said before we are so freaking hot!!! I am so over it!!
It is supposed to break tomorrow night hopefully.
Speaking of tomorrow I am meeting my daughter and sweet B for a pedicure, dinner and a play. I am so looking forward to that. Any time with my girls is perfect.
Have a great rest of your week and stay cool.
Pretty hot and humid in Ohio and our rain pretty much fizzled today. We need a good soaking. I hate brown grass!
ReplyDeleteFun stamping project.
Be sure to share your watercolor pieces. Great quote!
Lauren
I'm impressed at what you're getting done in this heat. I try to be active with a minimum of movement!
ReplyDeleteYes, it's hot here too, but we don't have the humidity that the East has. I love your watercolor practice. Remember, practice makes progress! Having a pedicure and going to a play with your daughter and granddaughter sounds wonderful. Hope the weather cools down for you. See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteIt has been unbearably humid here too. The thunderstorms we were suppose to get yesterday only amounted to one rainstorm...and still humid. UGH Have fun with your girls! Fun stamping project too. Janice
ReplyDeleteThe heat has been oppressive for sure. Stay cool as possible!
ReplyDeleteI am with you-too hot and humid-here as well I think yesterday was one of the hottest so far mid 0's with very high humidity we did not get the rain last night that the weather people said we would-sigh maybe some today.
ReplyDeleteI love your strips of fabric with stamping-may try that. My goal is a little painting every day but I sometimes miss a day. Happy weekend
Yup, still hot here and I'm still complaining about it. Hmm, maybe Big Foot knocked it off when he climbed over the rock fence? LOL
ReplyDeleteWe're headed back home tomorrow just as this heat breaks. However, it's been a fun trip! I love the east coast!
ReplyDeleteWe are hot here in Georgia too!
ReplyDeleteA pedicure with the girls seems like a lot of fun.
Do you know who moved the rock?
I know JUST what you mean about getting out early to beat the heat! It is so hot in Georgia. THey told us on the news that it has been in the 90s' every day since July 2nd. I believe them.
ReplyDeleteFrom your post and the above comments, it seems like everywhere but Nod is stuck in hot/humid/dry mode. We made it to 70º today - and that was WITH the sun out and no wind. It was actually a beautiful day but I am wearing sweats right now. I don't think anyone would be complimenting my gardens right now though. Enjoy your little girls' outing with your daughter and grand. My little g is coming to visit for a while tomorrow...so happy as it's been a few weeks since seeing her...first her being gone, then me. Hope you get some relief weather-wise soon.
