We have had snow 3 days in a row about 3 inches each time and tomorrow we are in for 3 to 6 and more coming on Sunday.
I talked to Sweet B last night she got to ski in fresh powder, very exciting.
Besides shoveling I have made a few cookies.
I made these Jelly centered sugar cookies. Husband loves them.
I would love to make the molasses cookies next.
I put up a few of my vintage Valentines. They are clipped on a string of battery-operated lights.
I am working on a valentine's gift for Sweet B.
She is stitching a lot, so I am making her a needle book to store her needles and things.
There is a pocket on the left. I will put a threader in there.
And then put a few needles in the book too.
Husband has been under the weather again! Thankfully he is better. He finished this puzzle; it was a hard one.

Super bowl this weekend I have a rack of ribs to bake.
I went grocery shopping with my very detailed list and ohhh boy
it was expensive! I am hoping except for fresh fruit and milk I shouldn't need much more this month. I am making Chicken piccata tonight for dinner. We eat at home most of the time.
Thank you for the visit
Have a wonderful week !!
Hope your husband feels better soon. That is an interesting puzzle. I think I will begin another puzzle soon. I love those jam-filled cookies. My mother used to make something like that and I remember how good they were! I hope you have a good week and a happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteThose cookies look so yummy. I love the vintage Valentine's and the gift is going to be so nice for Sweet B. I bet she will love it! My goodness, that puzzle would make me insane! I do not have that much patience! Hope you husband feels better soon! Ya'll stay warm!
ReplyDeleteGrace & Peace,
Pam
Sorry you hubby has been under the weather again.
ReplyDeleteI eat at home all the time unless at camp. I eat a lot of chicken and salmon and chicken piccata sounds good but without the capers.
Your snow photo is so pretty! The cookies look really good.
ReplyDeleteThe needle book for Sweet B is going to be loved. Glad Hubby is doing better!
Snow for us too. We were to have an energy audit tomorrow through NH Saves but that will have to happen another day. Granddaughters coming over - one is now being homeschooled for 5th grade and the other (2nd grade) has pink eye. Daughter got notice this evening that school closed tomorrow. But she still needs to get to the office so we will do the home schooling and put in the eye drops.
ReplyDeleteYou did keep getting hit with snow! The cookies - they looked like little pies. They looked really good!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet gift you are making for your granddaughter. She will treasure it forever. Not sure if we are getting ice or snow today. I would rather have snow. Glad your hubby is feeling better. Janice
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to share the joy of needlework with your young sweetie.
ReplyDeleteI love your wintry landscape and all the ways you make life cozy. The needle book is very sweet.
ReplyDeleteMolasses cookies with a cup of hot tea is a winter treat!
ReplyDeletecooking is love made visible, i always tell my family that. it is one of the ways i say "i love you"!! that is such a sweet kitchen and i am so jealous of your snow!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your post! Miss B is going to love that needle book! Very handy to have when stitching! A trip to the grocery store is definitely costly, though we generally eat three meals a day at home; rare treat to go out to eat. Stay warm and safe!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet gift for your sweet Miss B! You know she'll love it. We do our weekly shopping on Saturday mornings and we make a menu and in doing that we very rarely have to go out to the store during the week. Those cookies look really good and my hubby would love it if I made molasses cookies. That's more his style! We didn't get the snow, we got the ice. I would rather drive in snow! You certainly have had a ton of the white stuff this year. I'm so ready for Spring! Have a good weekend Cathy!
ReplyDeleteHope you guys both feel better soon. The jammie cookies look soooooo goood. I do love winter but I am excited for spring.
ReplyDeleteYes, the snow storms have been frequent this winter, here in nashua, NH, as well but the most we've received has been no more than 3-4 inches. It looks lovely coming down and not-so-nice a few days later. The needle keeper for your granddaughter looks lovely and sure she will appreciate it very much. Sorry to read that your husband wasn't feeling well and hope he's feeling better soon. It's a good weekend to spend indoors, especially with some homemade cookies.
