Happy Valentine's Day

My Mother gave me a box of antique valentines.
several years before she passed away

I love them they are really like a gift all by itself.
This one is fairly large it is about a foot tall.

I  baked some bread I found a great tutorial on pintrest.
You can find the the recipe here. I also followed her
blog it has wonderful recipes.

We really loved it and I felt it was very do able on a weekday.
I feel I am a frustrate bread baker. I would love to bake
bread on a regular basis but it is time consuming for a person who works
40 hours a week. I will add this bread to my cast iron pan bread I make.

Have a wonderful Valentine's day I am spending it with my favorite little girl.

  1. First, I loved the Downton Abbey episode on Sunday..love all those beautiful clothes and the lovely formality of life there! I think your cards are wonderful! What a nice keepsake. The bread looks super! I would love to bake bread as nice as my Mom's...she's the Yoda of bread making! I'm really superior at eating bread..hey, everyone has their talents!

  2. The bread looks great! You are right, though. Baking homemade bread is very time-consuming.

    Enjoy that special little girl!

OMG, I just ate lunch but think I could eat a whole loaf of any of those breads anyway. They all look delicious.

  9. That bread looks yummy. I haven't made many breads beyond a basic white bread. But I really ought to branch out a little.

  12. The cards look just wonderful...much better quality than what we have to chose from now-a-days. And the bread reminded me that it's time for dinner.
