A Little Bits...

I got this picture on pintrest but it shows really shows what
it is like here. We have been rainy and 30's all day and now we have so much fog you can't see across the driveway. I am chilled to the bone. Thank goodness for the wood stove husband just started.

I just can't put my Christmas village away yet. I love looking at it, such a
happy peaceful little village.

These are my mom's sisters, my sweet aunts
The beautiful one on the left with the white hair
will be 93 next Tuesday. She had a cold last week and said she didn't crochet for 2 days, "So you know I have been sick!" I aspire to be like her.
She is independent and feisty! She took me to my first art class when I was a kid and bought me my first barbie. I love talking to
her on the phone she makes me smile with her view of the world.
And yes she is up to date with what is going on in the word.

I am dreaming of the retreat on star island again
and trying to come up with a pattern of a picture I took
that I would love to hook. I have never drawn my own pattern so I am a bit over whelmed by it.
I have a hook in coming up this month so I have to get something
on the frame soon.

Stay warm my sweet friends

I want to be like your aunt when I grow up. What a wonderful life!
You'd better get something on that frame soon or all you'll have to do at the hook in is shop and that can get expensive...lol!
Hugs :)

We get the heavy fog with the bay and the temps being up and down.
Love that photo, my grandmother was like that, I think being feisty is the key to a long life;)
I think the small boats would be a nice theme for that rug, leave the more detailed boat out and maybe add a lighthouse or one of the buildings from the island, to the right of the scene?

No sense putting away your Christmas village if it gives you so much joy to look at it.
The temperature sure have been mild these last few days. We having a January thaw.

I hope that you can come up with a pattern for your rug. I'm always having such a hard time coming with ideas that are simple.

Have a great weekend Cathy.
Hugs,
Julia

Our weather has been so weird. Cold, then in the 60's, now cold again. Throw in fog, snow, ice and then torrential rain and that would be us! I know you can do a rug like that picture...can't wait to see the end result. Have a wonderful weekend!

Your Aunt sounds like a hoot. We are in a bitter cold snap too so I'm loving the fireplace
