It Is About The Little Things.....

Sat morning we headed out with friends for a garden tour
put on by a local garden club. While the gardens were beautiful
It was all about the settings. Yes this is what this house looked at everyday.....sigh....

This is a little section of garden by their back deck so lovely

We spied fairy houses at some of the homes,so lucky to have a fairy living near by..

And while there were so many beautiful gardens, I came home to mine. This is by the back door nope no fairies living there.

This is a rare selfie and it makes me laugh, we look so serious. We were on kayaks,I think we were trying to figure it out and forgot to smile.

A great paddle with Loons and their babies coming so close I could have touched the babies. I just sat as still as I could and they swam by, the little babies are a ball of fuzz and make little noises all the time. Pure joy to be so close. One of the adults saw me and started calling I was a bit scared as they are big birds and could hurt me if they wanted, but I kept very still and they forgot about me and continued to dive for fish.

Every Thursday is farmer's market day. A young man was selling his mushrooms so fun to see how he grows them. He is turning his family land back into farm land. He had such a big smile on his face when he was telling me this.

I got Deanne's new book in the mail and I have spent some porch sitting time reading it. A wealth of information.

I feel the world is spinning out of control, my heart is so broken. So we are staying close to home in our little tiny town and do the things that make us happy. We have found the little things make us the happiest a good meal, a good walk, a paddle on a pond, and great company of family and friends.
****
I hope you are all safe and finding your joy.

Your back door hollyhock are beautiful.
The 'shrooms are so cool.
Great selfie :)
The world is a scary place. I fear for our grandchildren. The violence must somehow be stopped and the answer is NOT taking the guns from law abiding citizens!!! Oh, don't get me started.
Hugs :)

Your garden is beautiful and so is your view! How wonderful to be able to jump into a kayak and just paddle the worries away. I feel being close to nature, in gardens, and enjoying wildlife is about as close to heaven on earth as we can get. I too am very saddened by the events in our world. I am grateful for my boring life but I do worry about my niece who's a detective in Chicago and puts her life on the line daily. Hugs to you and I hope you have a lovely week!

I never have like big cities, but I wouldn't go into one now if you paid me!!
The world is crazy right now and probably just going to get worse.

That looks like a beautiful place to live and beautiful view. When we got lost in the Tamworth area we ended up at some farms up on the hills, such beautiful place to live. I try not to watch too much news lately, it really gets depressing, so many horrible things going on lately.

Yes... life's best moments really are the little things... I don't watch the news anymore... I just pray that one day folks will wake up and realize that the world will never be a better place unless each individual starts to take responsibility for making it better... one person (one action) at a time... Have a beautiful week!

I love your kayak selfie, serious but at peace. I have loon envy, I love their haunting calls. You have such a serene life as compared to my hectic farm life. It's hectic but I still feel blessed that we live in a relatively trouble free country... I'm taking this morning break to rest my hurting shoulder since it's wet outside, I'm visiting blogs for a change. The garden flowers are such a treat.
Hugs, Julia
