A Birthday Post

I recently had a birthday. Husband took me for a day out.
We went to Littleton NH which is an hour north from us.
And it is where Pollyanna was written.

They have a very vibrant Main Street, this is to remind you there are lots of shops behind Main street too.

This was on all of their cross walks a friendly little town.
But we saw lots of signs of the trees starting to turn yikes!

I was very blessed with gifts my sweet daughter bought me,
shower gel, body lotion and hand cream all in my favorite scent Lavender. I have used them and it feels like heaven.
My sweet daughter took me out to dinner and stayed overnight such a treat to have her and Miss B here. My poor Son-in-law had to work so he missed the fun of dinner and the science center the next day.
And did you know they also sell cookies? I have them hidden them they are just for my tea in the evening. Husband would eat them by the handful.
My closest friend bought me 2 barefoot contessa books. I love her no nonsense approach to cooking no weird ingredients. Plus we went on a little hike and a swim. Our summer has been busy so we have not had much time for our hiking it felt so good.
Then My other close friend bought me this book it is about the birth of rug hooking along the coast of Maine and New Brunswick. I have already started to read it. Plus she treated me to breakfast. I am a very lucky woman to have such great friends.

and of course some paddling that I love so much.

And the day before my birthday I saw this at the dump.
It is in Miss B's favorite color and she loves to twirl.
So hopefully I will be twirling a long time with her.

Sounds like a wonderful way to spend your birthday.
We were up there and went to a pancake house, with the kids. Camped nearby but never went into the town, never knew that is where the book was written, my favorite movie.

A Happy Belated Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Sounds like a great time. I noticed a few trees starting to turn here too. I love Fall but I still want to enjoy Summer for a bit. My oldest Granddaughter always twirled when we shopped for dresses. They had to be able to spin out perfectly! She's 20 and probably doesn't do that any more!

Happy Birthday. I love Crabtree and Evelyn too, although I haven't used it in quite a while as there are no shops that carry it around this area any longer.

My Dear Sweet Friend I hate I missed your Birthday! A Big belated Happy Birthday!
Loved reading about your celebrations. You deserve the many celebrations that you were given by friends and family.
What a neat town you visited in your beautiful state! It sounded like a prefect getaway.
Of course having your precious daughter and adorable Miss B for a night had to be the best gift ever.
I appreciate your emails checking on me. I have been wanting to do a post but have not felt up to being on computer but will try to do one this week.
Enjoy your week ahead and the rest of the summer.
Love
Maggie
