Slip Cover

As you know we redid our porch this year. And this is one of two chairs that are not that comfy but we use them all the time. So I decided to remake the cushions.

I had high density  foam from a yard sale I bought some time ago.
I purchased a heavy weight drop cloth and said what the heck I am going to give it a try. Well far from perfect they look ok and are comfortable yea! And pretty dang cheap. I think I paid a couple of dollars for the foam and 22.00 for the drop cloth and I have lots of fabric left over.

Summer has found us with hot muggy weather and most of us in this area do not have air conditioners.  This is my delphinium that I got a picture of before the rain did it in.

So sweet

I also have some of the darker variety.

I also have a few high bush blueberries that doesn't yield much but enough for this....

Dinner at my daughter's so I was able to bring a treat.
( I made the crust myself.)

I am reading Harper Lee's new book I am 100 pages in so you know what I will be doing with my free time the rest of this week.
Have a great week!

Cathy, your cushion and slip cover looks very comfy. I like that you solved a problem so cheaply. I want to buy a set of chairs and table but they are so expensive and I've used spending money helping my granddaughter whom I love so much. Maybe next year.

My flowers have suffered tghe same fate as yours in this rainy weather. The pie makes me salivate. Yummy...
Enjoy your week and your book.
Hugs,
JB

You did a great job! Drop cloths are very popular for slip covers and also curtains. I can never get delphiniums to grow..they always die off. Let me know how the book...I want to get it too! Your blueberry little pie looks very delish! Have a good week!

Good job with the cushions. I haven't made blueberry pie yet. I'm on vacation this week so maybe I'll try it.
