A Color Plan..

This is the full super moon Monday night..

I love the moon and the quiet of the evening.
Tonight I thought I would color plan a rug

I bought this pattern when I went to Maine with
with that Canadian hooker :) Kim

My first hooking teacher told us to NEVER to color plan
at night

I thought I would  take this piece of paisley and use the colors to make my plan...

But just what colors are in there???? So I will wait for the sun to rise....and make my plan.

In the mean time I will flip through my new magazine.
I have finished this book please if you are a reader
find this book it is really the best book I have read in a very long time. I hated for it to end but I couldn't put it down.
***
I am off to see Gene Sheppard this coming Sunday.
I am really looking forward to it and I just may buy a piece or two of  wool...
****
Have a great night!

Those paisleys were gorgeous. Were they antique paisleys? I would love to hook a rug with paisley designs and wonder if I could use your posts as inspiration IF....IF I ever decide.

I read a lot, and I will check to see if that book is at our library. Thank you for the recommendation.

I don't remember that pattern. It's cute. I hate color planning - day or night. Lol. Have fun with Gene Shepard. It's at Wool & Goods, right? I wish I had bought more patterns when we were there

I've started reading that book online. A great book to keep the reader interested.

I still haven't dug out my hook yet. Maybe I'm waiting for it to snow, lol.

Enjoy the time with Gene Shepherd. He was in our area not too long ago, but I did not take his class.
Oh, that looks like a wonderful rug!!!
Hugs :)

Why doesn't Amazon take Pay Pal? I just realized that when I went to order this book, with enough in Pay Pal account, but not enough in the bank account, to spend on a book. DRATZ!!!

That will be a fun pattern to hook and the paisley will look beautiful in it.

I'll give the book a try but I'll leave the hooking work to you and Kim! Good luck on picking the colors...I have enough trouble trying to find the right paint color when I do a room, I'd hate to think how I would choose fabric colors! Have a good weekend and I have a few new mags to enjoy too! (I really need a 12 step program for my mag addiction!)

I love paisley and those are both beautiful! Annie and I dance in our driveway when there is a full moon...in our jammies...very late...when no one is looking!
