Da Ta Dump Treasures

A quick trip to the dump netted me a few treasures

I love these shades for the porch they look so woodsy.

I am sad to say my poor little Sadie is not feeling well. She is 20 but so healthy
she had a urinary tract infection and a week off the pills and it seems she has
another one they want to do a urinalysis tomorrow. They said they
would keep her tonight but I know that would stress her so much. She is eating and drinking
so they said it would be fine to bring her in first thing in the am it is just she cries a lot.
which breaks my heart. So I try to hold her she seems better when I do.
***
Not much in the past week. I did have my girls night. There is usually between 12-18 of us that
get together once a month. We are a very eclectic group from the very wealthy and educated to
people like me. It really is a great time, food, wine, and women together what could be better?
***
We did take a trip to Boston for one of husband's appointments he did great they took
him off more meds and praised him on how well he looks, and his numbers were fantastic.

Catching Up

Summer is slipping away quickly. The beginning of the summer I thought we would
float away but now the sun is out and we are trying to keep cool.

Lots of sweet tea and a blueberry pie helps, lots of time on the porch and lots
and lots of reading.

And lots of fun. Swimming in the lake with friends, parades, and movies. This is husband getting ready
for the 250 celebration of the town I work in. It is just a few miles from our house.

Bag pipers I don't know if you can see the little guy 3rd from the right.

An old ice truck that was handing out chunks of ice to the kids.

And of course a bike rider or two.

And then the foam. The main street was closed off and filled with wonderful wonderful
bubbles!!! Young and old alike just couldn't get enough! I was working or I would have been right in the middle of it. There was kids in their 20's just having a ball. I couldn't help but smile.

Until the rain came and washed it all away:(
I hope your summer is going well and you are enjoying every minute of it.
I am off to sit on the porch I have another book calling my name.
Tell me all about your summer.

Crazy

The  sun came out and everyone was having fun.
This guy was strapped to a board that had a large hose connected to the jet ski and the board.
this video has sped up for some reason but this is basically how it looks.
A friend and I were having drinks in a lake side place so it was fun to watch.
I would not even attempt it.
a good weekend has be forecasted so I am looking forward to a good weekend at home.

A Walk In My Garden

My fairy roses are happy, happy!

In spite of all the rain and not much sun.

My cone flowers are making a showing.

My Stella Doro lilies are happy
and some interesting leaves for interest!

My lavender is starting to go by. I have not had the time to
make any lavender bottles go back to see the how to.

Since my mint is growing wild I made some
mint ice tea. and oh is it gooooood.
****
Well the camping trip is history and I am happy to say we survived.
and not much rain.
