So Much For My Grand Plans

My husband and I had plans to go out to breakfast and
I would go to my guild meeting. We got to breakfast
but came out and my poor old car wouldn't start so
a tow and lots of money later she is as good as new.
I am just glad that it didn't happen in Boston.

Since I was stuck home I finally took some Christmas
things to the attic and found some pussy willows I had tucked
away and since it is very cold here and blowing I thought
I could use some spring.

And you have to know we hit the dump:)
David says I should start calling it the swap shop at the dump
he has a point. Because it really is a room at the dump
that people put things in and take things they want.
I found this great coffee pot. I had one like it but it died.
This one was in good shape I gave it a good scrubbing and fired it up.
works great! I do not like drip coffee it just does not taste the same as perked.

I am sorry to say I haven't picked up my hook in a couple of weeks.I hope
this week I will get back to it.
Friday night we went to a dance. We haven't danced in a long time
it was really fun.
well the wood stove is full and keeping us warm I am headed
to put my P.J's on and have my cup of hot water with lemon.
stay warm everyone!

There's been lots of cars not starting lately, from the bitter cold. I love pussy willows. Maybe it will bring Spring sooner :)

Car problems are the pits! I'm sorry it was costly but at least it was fixable. Hopefully you can make the next guild meeting. Now, go pick up that hook!
Hugs :)

I think that's is super that you go dancing. I haven't danced in years.

The pussy willow adds a nice touch. Bring on the spring. Now if you could find a branch of something to force to bloom.

Love the nice coffee pot. I never knew that there was a difference in perk coffee versus drip coffee. I learned something new. I just don't care for weak coffee. I like it strong and I like my men weak, hahaha. That's what I say to my husband.

Have a great week

Sounds like you're having fun..dancing sounds great! Sorry about your car. I hate those kinds of bills..so much money, but we need our transportation. I'm not a coffee drinker, but that looks like a good find! Enjoy and stay warm!

I'd like a splash of cream and a bit of sugar with my coffee please. Nice to spend a few minutes catching up with you. Love the picture of hubs and grand baby. She sure is growing!

The town where my husband is a policeman, have the same type of room at their dump. They call it "The Transfer Station" My mother always had a Farberware coffee pot. It made the best coffee in the world.

Good Morning.I like...I like perked coffee too and have actually been thinking about getting another coffee pot like the old one I use to have. I do have small stove top one (it's really old) to use if the electric goes out. I am always amazed at what you find at the dump...

Yes, life has a way of making hard right hand turns sometimes. Sorry the car was costly to repair but sure it wasn't as costly as a new one would be.

Oh man, I'd go nuts if I hadn't hooked in weeks. You must be ready to tackle a rug by now.

O, I'm with you and just love to dance, but never have the opportunity any more. My favorite dances are the two-step and of course the electric slide (like when going to a wedding reception). I think I was born with dancing feet!
I have to disagree on the coffee, I like drip and not percolated.

Ouch! Too bad about that necessary car repair.

Interesting - we went to a dance on Saturday night! Such fun!

Our temperature here today is 56 degrees. Perhaps the groundhog was correct this time.
