Snow,Snow, Snow

I am making progress on my rug. I hope to be done for Christmas.
The very lightest part of the sky I am pulling out I don't like it.
On Saturday we did a big of shopping and I was able to get more hand dyed wool
for the sky, so I should be all set. We also saw our sweet little grandbaby.

Today we stayed home all day. We slept late ate a late breakfast.
I baked bread and cookies. I now have my feet up watching old movies while I hook.

Like most of you I have no words for the horror of this past week.
We hugged our little grand daughter a little tighter.
Our daughter has had a very hard time she has cried a river.
She is a teacher and being a mom of a little one she just sobs when
she thinks of it. We have turned the news off and do not read the Internet news.
we needed to make this house a place of peace.
Our prayers will be many.

Don't forget to leave a comment to win

Finding words to describe our feelings at this time is difficult. We are all affected by this tragedy even when we live in Canada.
Tragedies such as this knows no border.
God bless the little children.

Hugs,
JB

How festive that you have snow!

Continued prayers offered for those who have been affected by the tragedy in Connecticut. I am a retired elementary teacher. Thankfully we didn't ever have to put into actuality any of the drills we had practiced. I can understand how your daughter is feeling.

Hugs to all,
Nellie

I spent time with Jake today and gave him an extra hug or two. I do not have a TV (at least one that works) so I have not seen the coverage. I would just sit there and bawl!
I'm lovin' your rug! I've barely hooked and I miss it! I keep thinking I will find time but it hasn't happened recently and won't for at least the next few days. It's like the hurrier I go, the behinder I get.
Hugs :)

The rug is cute. I got the pattern too but am behind so maybe I will hook it next year.
Hugs to your daughter. It's all so hard to comprehend. I'm limiting news coverage too.

Your rug looks great! We too have mourned the loss of these innocent lives. My daughter has been a principal for about 15 years, this being her first year out of that position. She now is Director of Secondary Education, and is housed at the central office. I have a six year old granddaughter. We could just as easily be in the position of the folks in CT. I pray for all of them, and for the safety of our children. We can't help but worry about the evil in the world today. I pray we would all turn back to God.

Cathy, You have really been a busy girl with that design. When I went to camp in November I took my issue of RHM ang asked Lucille to autograph it. I also plan to hook it sometime (?when?)and when I do think I'll lower the snow line and show the whole star instead of hiding one of the points.

Like the colors you're using and your choices of snow and beard are great because you can definitely pick out the beard from the snow.

Great job.

Your rug looks so good! Great job you are doing. My daughter is having a very difficult time...she has been crying a lot and is full of questions. The whole thing defies any reasonable explanation. So very sad.

You have the right idea. I want to keep my home a place of peace also...but somehow the news just creeps in. It's just too much to try and comprehend. I hope your week is great. Love the rug!

I, too, had to quit reading and watching the news. My heart breaks for the tragedy of it all. Keeping those grieving families in my prayers now.

I love the rug! You have such a gift. I tried rug hooking years ago and just couldn't seem to get the hang of it! Maybe I should try again. Merry Christmas!
