Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree....

I thought I would get creative with the Christmas tree this year.
I removed every other row of branches and decorated.
I still have a bit more to put on but I really like it.
(My vintage lit tree stand)

I was busy baking this weekend.
These are the oyster crackers with an envelope of ranch dressing with
a bit of dill then it is baked. They are so yummy and a great gift in a
canning jar.

My women's group had a brunch on Saturday. I made some
lemon poppy seed muffins. A great easy recipe that is made with Bisquick and
some lemon instant pudding.

After brunch I did some thrifting. the Santa was free
the rest..

was total of 3 dollars.(Yes that is Sadie lurking:)

But the best purchase this weekend was this candle.
It has a timer so it goes on and off at regular intervals.
(That is David as an elf at polar express)

Here is what I ended up with for our Yankee swap at the brunch.
I don't usually make out that well.

I hope your weekend was a great one.
I am done with Christmas shopping except for a few gift certificates
I have to pick up.

If you have only one smile in you, give it to the people you love.
Don't be surly at home, then go out in the street and start grinning "Good
Morning"at total strangers.

It sounds like a lovely week-end! We LOVE those Ranch oyster crackers, and using Bisquick for the muffins is a real time saver! More good thrifting items, plus not left with a bad gift at the swap! How much better could it be?:-)

Sending wishes for a blessed Christmas season.

Oh, you're making me hungry!
LOVE your tree.
I wish I was done with shopping. I am getting close and overall I am in much better shape than I normally am at this time in December. I'm still not stressing and that is very good.
Hugs :)

Such a great idea to thin out your tree. We always shop at a local tree farm and the trees are fairly robust ;) and could all use a little thinning. You have to see the ornaments, right?!
