It's All About The Dump

Husband hit the dump this week. This is one of a few garden decorations he
picked up for me.

Don't look at the poor fading garden but the fun sunflowers
he pulled them out of the metal pile. I love them.

He found this basket it was hooked to something else which we
have no idea what. but it is pretty large.

This would be great filled with moss on the sides and a great ivy growing out of it.

I wish I had taken a picture of this before. This was a dump find.
it was brown paint, Husband started stripping it and found that
it is a little cherry table. Just look at her lovely legs.
I had to keep it. It is a bit more red in real life.
The box on the top I found at the dump today it held something from
England not sure what. But it is a pretty inlay box.
The flowers on the top are picked from our yard. I came home
on Monday (one of my long days) Husband had made dinner and picked flowers
putting vases all around the house. ohhh how lucky am I?

I have it by the chair I hook in to hold my goodies.

And this is husband's latest find.
pretty funny and it is screaming for a mum or a bum:)
***
I had a Dr's appointment today ( I lost 10lbs from last year! yahoo) so instead of taking an hour
off I decided to take the whole day off.
I am so glad I did it was a beautiful day, we went out to lunch and sat outside
while eating which will not happen to much longer.
Our nights are getting so cold we are in the 40's most nights.
***
We had cable T.V. issues so I went on line to chat. He asked if he could
take control of our TV. Ummm ok, so he did from God knows
where he was. He did fix it but I was a bit creeped out.

Happy Birthday to our sweet beautiful daughter!
we love you!
since she is a teacher this quote fits.

Cathy I just love the finds that Dave picked up....they're great. Your garden looks like ours.
Also I think you need a couple of Tufa pots.I might have just the thing for you.
A big Hello to Dave for me.

Great finds! I especially love the table, gorgeous with the new finish.
Today, thrifting at the GW outlet, I passed up an enamelware pot lid (white with black edging). I can see that I should have snagged it for you.
Thanks for your comments on my historic home tour post. Have you toured the Hamilton house or the Jewett house? It was fascinating! This Saturday evening they are having a special tour @ Hamilton, all about the servants quarters and roles in the household. I am going to try to go...

How exciting that your husband went to the dump and brought stuff home!! I love the sunflowers, too. What fun. I love picking stuff up on the side of the road, too. My family groans and hides when I pull up beside a pile of junk on the side of the road. ha ha ha I love it. Best wishes, Linda

Hello there, spotted you as a commenter on two blogs I visit so thought I must come and see what you're about. I just love your recycling habits! Am always amazed at what people throw out and am so glad there are people who find and reuse these treasurers. Well done you and I'm a new follower!

I was trying to figure out what kind of dump, because they have some very nice things there !
My daughter has the best luck with dump finding, she always sees the potential in something discarded as useless.
Love the pictures, and thank you for stopping by my little place.
A Happy Birthday to your precious daughter :)
