A Couple of Recipes

I have been baking lately. (These look darker than they are) They are donut muffins.
They taste just like the cake donuts just not fried. I am now looking for the donut pans
I have seen a thousand times so I can make these into donuts. I got a lot of comments wanting the recipe for the bread. No knead Crusty bread here. and here are the muffins. I am loving
the king Arthur flour site.

Our little tiny garden is giving like crazy we are picking a cuke a day but today 4
I have made pesto several times from our basil, I need to make a big batch for the freezer.
We are waiting for our tomatos to turn red. I will be making sauce and freezing that also.

Summer is really going fast by the second week in august we are starting to wind
down.

I saw my first colored leaves while kayaking sooo very sad:(
We have been very warm but today threatened to rain all day. tonight
it is now raining and chilly.

I have been washing wool.In that wool was a couple of beautiful plaid skirts.
I was reading the tag and feeling very badly about washing and cutting up
those floor length  skirts. Buuuut then I see the waist is 26 inches ok
I don't feel bad any more. I think I had a 26 in waist at birth.

Thank you for such a warm welcome for David he was so excited he woke me out of a dead sleep
to tell me all about it. Bloggers are the most amazing people.

I absolutely love no knead bread. I make it all the time. The donut muffins look delicious. I have my eye on donut pans as well. Summer for me always flies by. I'll be back to school before I know it. I really do enjoy my summers off.

We've had so much heat and not enough rain so this years garden is about a bust -- I have gotten some tomatoes and basil though and have enjoyed the heck out them.

Come by for a visit -- I am hosting a cookbook/Apron set giveaway :)

I just love those beautiful summer halcyon days! Now I forbid you from showing any more colored leaves, until October! LOL!

Hi Cathy, I just wonder does it have to be King Arthur flour does it make a difference? Everything looks super yummy! I am inspired.

Yum! Cake donuts are my favorite, I am going to try these. I have a ton of basil in my tiny garden, what recipe are you using for pesto? I never thought of that!

Cathy-
I am an EARLY morning person.
I allow myself the guilty pleasure of a leisurely coffee (or 2) while perusing my 'usuals' (bloglist). I may not comment often, but I am taking a few moments this morning to say 'THANK YOU' for your Random Bits that I have come to enjoy!
How do you freeze your pesto? I do mine by Tbsp in ice cube trays, then pop the frozen 'cubes' out into zip-lock bags for easy storage in 'measured' amounts!

Cathy, I too saw my first colored leaves of the season, I am not ready for Fall I feel as though summer is just beginning. Cake donuts sound wonderful, I just love King Arthur, you can drop some serious money when you visit their Vermont Store! Greetings from Maine, Julie.

You're a dab-hand at baking, the donut muffins look fab.
Nothing tastes better than home grown cukes - Full of flavour and love. (Sadly, I haven't any this year as the monsoon weather has kept me from the garden.)
Goodness, leaves colouring already..what ever happened to Summer?
Have a great week.
