Stress..

What is it good for? absolutely nothing.(I know that is not how the song goes)

I do not like stress, I do not thrive on stress,So I turn to the first thing that helps.
This old mixer and I have cooked up a storm in times of stress.

David is still having issues I feel we are falling backward.
So....I made banana bread.

His appetite is off so I made choc chip cookies.

I think depression is his enemy right now.
So... I made whoopie pies.

Stress sends me to the food I love and oh how I love fiddle heads!
Since I have now eaten enough food in general for him and myself.

I took an old fashion walk and smelled the flowers.
a bit of gardening and a bit of cleaning.
I am hoping my pants fit me in the morning:)
I am breathing deeply and tying to let go and live for today.
Stress how do you deal with it?
***
I was going to buy a copy of the power of positive thinking and then I thought: What the hell good would that do?

When stress hits me, most of the time I throw a fit. Whine, piss and moan. Then everything gets done and then I'm better. Then I have to apologize...maybe I should do things different! :)

I do hope that David is all right. It seems that when people have serious medical issues they suffer from depression.Just take it a day at a time. I used to cook anything my husband wanted... just so he would eat a little. Keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers.

Here's hoping your life de-stresses quickly (and you can fit in your pants in the morning. I've been having that problem, too!)
Prayers and hugs for you and hubby.

Cathy, I'm so sorry about David feeling down, and in turn you are feeling stressed.

Stress is a a joy robber and I do admit to be overwhelmed some time with stress. Sometimes I wallow in self pity but it's counter productive. Depression follows.

It's really hard to just live for today as we live for tomorrow but it never comes and yesterday is gone and will never return. Today is all we have. A hard lesson for us to learn.

All you can do is do your best and I'm sure that you are doing your best... It's so difficult when a love one is sick and there's nothing we can do to change things.

Sending prayers and love to both of you.
Hugs, Julia

Your goodies look yummy, but the walk sounds cathartic! I usually try to get away from the stressor--go shopping, take a drive, take a walk--or get something done I've been meaning to do. I hope things improve!

Sorry, not much help here. I don't do well with stress and worry. I just dwell on it...I think it's an inherited thing. Hoping that things turn around with David and for you.

The Ronnie Shakes quote is just too funny!
I'll be praying for you and David. It must be hard. And you are doing exactly what I do when I'm stressed-eat! I guess that's were the term 'comfort' foods came into existance.

Sorry you are still in that bad patch and hope he makes a turnaround soon. He was doing so very well, if I recall he was bettern than expected. Let's hope this is just a slight bump in the road and he recovers from this quickly. Hugs and prayers to both of you.

I know the kind of stress you are going through. It could be depression on David's part--that sneaky bustard used to get Fred from time to time. I don't eat when I'm stressed, which is a good thing I guess--I've lost 15 pounds in these last 4 months. I hope David gets to feeling better--he has done so well. I assume he is seeing a doctor about all this?

I had my first fiddleheads of the season a few days ago. They are so good. All your baking looks pretty yummy too.
I hope things are OK with David. Sending you positive thoughts and prayers.

I agree with you about the dentist - WHY do they talk to you and ask you questions when they know you can't answer?!

I hate to hear about David having complications - will definitely keep you both in my prayers.
