A Very Productive Weekend

Day break is coming through the trees, while my little old Sadie watches the birds.
I hooked on lose woven wool for the first time and I have to say I love it.
I just drew it on and hooked. This is a very small pillow and I used the smallest wool I have ever hooked with. From now on it will be larger.

I also used some of my huge stack of Cards I have saved.

This one is my favorite, who would not love to live in that sweet little cottage?
I am also mid way through another craft project. All I can say it involves paper mache.

A friend of ours dropped off a beautiful set of  sheets, polar fleece. I am washing sheets daily.
They are the color of the siesta key ocean.(the gulf)

siesta key has one of the top 10 beaches in the WORLD. We have vacationed there for years
and love it. This is a bowl of sand and shells I have brought back over the years. the sand is like powdered sugar, white, soft and beautiful.  It is only an hour south of Tampa Florida. The links are to an amazing place to stay and to find out more. Sadly we can not go this year because of David's transplant.

We are watching the Patriots ohh it is a nail biter.
Miss Baby learned to drink from a straw this week. She found out that there was a frappe on the other end of that straw oh yeah.
Is it just me or is someone else having issues leaving comments? The screen freezes!
I am participating in show off your cottage House in the Roses
I am also joining cozy home scenes        No pessimist ever discovered the secrets of the stars,or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new heaven to the human spirit.    Helen Keller

The pillows are beautiful!
I am glad you got help for the driveway.
I am the only one left of our friends here. Most have left to spend the winter in Fla. Many of them in Sarasota near Siesta Key. I hope you will get there next winter.
I have caught up on your posts, so glad you came to visit so i remembered to stop in.
Hope you both have a good week!

We are on pins and needles watching the Pats. I actually remember when my kids started drinking from a straw. Love your sea shore in a bowl!!!

I'm chuckling about the frappe...what bliss to get that through a straw for the first time! You are doing some nice paper collage work. I have a friend who is very much into this craft and loves it. I like your pillow. I decided to go for the spring flower pattern for next weekend. So far, so good.
Hugs,
Courtney

Love the scene out the window, and the color on the sheets! I have shells i saved from the NC. beaches, but no sand. Love the pretty pillow!

As for blogger, the comments have been very difficult, for over a month esp. on certain blogs. Sometimes I can get them on, others I can't. Sometimes I can't access my email either. The blog I can, but not my email.

You're on to some cute little paper projects. You're only limited by your creativity. You can have fun for hours.

I love your little beach in a bowl idea. In the meantime you can relive your memories by just looking at the sand and seashells. Hopefully you and David can go back next year.

Those soft sheets are so comfortable to sleep in. We have a company who make them right here in New Brunswick. They call them New Brunswick Sheets. I have some for all my beds.

Stay warm and safe. JB

I've never done rug hooking, but I must say I love your pillow! It's so cute! Your vintage cards are great too. Seeing your photo of the sand and the beachy things reminds me I need a vacation! I'm your newest follower. I'm looking forward to reading more :)

You have been busy. I love that hooked pillow. I have never tried hooking on that kind of backing but I love the effect.

Oh my Cathy, you certainly have had a productive week! Sadie looks very sweet, and I'm loving the pillow. I love what you've done with the cards, and the cottage really is sweet.
Polar fleece sheets? And such a lovely colour - I'll have to keep an eye out for those in the UK!
The bowl of sand and shells would be a favourite of mine - I'm a sucker for sea shells, especially when they hold such sweet memories :o)
Miss Baby is growing in leaps and bounds.
Yes, I've had a few issues with commenting on some blogs, as you say the screen freezes - goodness knows why.
Hope David is continuing to improve. Have a lovely week.

Love the little piece of paradise in your bowl.

Great post! I love your little hooked pillow. I love the look of a hooked rug, and used to see them once in a while, when I worked in a fabric store where they sold surplus/remnant wool to rug braiders and hookers. I've never done it, but I think I probably will, someday..
Yes the Patriots got the job done, but it wasn't pretty.

I love the bunny flower pillow. It is beautiful. I reckon you could use it for a pin cushion. I also think your sea shell collections is awesome. Hugs Judy

Cathy, what a sweet little pillow, very Spring inspired. I too have been having problems with leaving comments on certain blogs, blogger always keeps us guessing. Hopefully next year you and David can add to your shell and sand collection, Florida will be waiting for you. Looking forward to seeing what your next craft project is. Hugs, Julie.

I have never been to your blog before but I like what I see and will return, soon. Your pillow is beautiful. When I was much younger(I'm not old) ha -- I wanted to hook rugs and did several small projects but nothing as pretty or well done as yours. Maybe someday when there is more quiet time, I might do it again. Love your snowy scene with the cat. Our temps are wild this year, one day it is very cold and in a few days it warms up to almost feel like spring. Anyway wanted to comment on your nice blog and tell you that I would love it if you added that cozy scene to my Your Cozy Home Party. Link up today or tomorrow if you would like to join in the fun.------- Shannon

Been thinking of you and wondering how you and sweet hubby are. So glad you shared these cards with us their beautiful.
Would love to see the beach you visit. Those shells are lovely.
I only got maybe 30 minutes on the beach in SC and found only small shells. Nothing like yours.

Such lovely projects! A productive weekend, indeed. :o) Thank you for sharing, I enjoyed seeing your work.

Stopping by from A Cozy Home party.

Thank you for joining the party, I very much appreciate it. I have been so busy responding to my party participants that there hasn't been time to look at the content of some of the new to me blogs. I took a quick look at yours and definitely will return to read and see what you are up to. I saw that you have a difficult time knitting-- join the crowd! I crochet and enjoy it tremendously but could never get the hang of knitting. Have great week!----Shannon
