I'm Melting

Ok ok I had to have a thrift store fix I admit it.  It has been so long and my house is so stripped it feels like I am living in someone elses house.  Sooo for 1.00 I got this lovely book oh how I love books.
and with pages like this I will pour over it for hours.

I also found the vintage table cloth , a zinc covered canning jar, and some of the pottery I collect and the sweetest child's mug.

the mug is bone china but no markings it says "the little mother" she is serving her mom tea.
I was thinking Miss Baby would love to have tea from this cup.

Now on to the melting. this is the temp in our house. Yes that's right and it hit 79 before I took this picture.

and this is how husband dresses for inside the house. Yes that is a fleece lined hooded jacket that has a t-shirt and a long sleeve shirt under it. He is comfy and cozy, me well I am thinking a bathing suit would be comfy. Lord knows you do not want to see that. I subject my sweet friends to that when we go to Florida and they still invite us back now that is friendship.

Tomorrow Miss Baby will be ONE can you believe it?
Happy Birthday to one sweet little girl XOXO

Oh, there's nothing like a good thrift store fix! I wish I could've gone with you. What a sweet tea cup to pass on to the g'daughter.
And frankly, if I'm not going to get any snow, then I'll take weather in the 70's too. You're
temperature is what we average in the summer here on the lake.
Happy New Year!

Love the baby mug! That is so sweet and I'm sure Miss Baby would love to receive it for her 1st Bday! Can't believe that year has passed! Does David need the heat because of the transplant? I actually like it warm, we keep the heat between 70 - 72 . . .

Happy New Year!

I would be melting too! Maybe you should be looking at books about Alaska to keep you cooler. :)

I'm glad things are going well at your house.

Hubby and I would get along great. The only time I'm not freezing is when I'm having one of the damned hot flashes!
Happy birthday to Miss Baby!!!

Oh goodness - I hate the feel of the furnace blasting - I feel your pain. I know you have to do it for your hubby, but I bet you are miserable!!!! MY DH is generally under blankets because I hate the feel of the heat on. Hang in there!

I love books too and I would pour over that one in a minute...I collect vintage tablecloths and that one is lovely! Sometimes our home gets that warm because we heat with wood and it's hard to regulate it when the temps go over 30..next week it's going to get cold and snowy here and then the house will feel just right! Have a Happy New Year! Give Dave my well wishes and that sweet one year old too! Happy Birthday to her!
