Why Mother Nature?????

Dear Mother Nature, Why? Why are you torturing me so? I need the sun and to see the grass getting green, I need to put my hands in the dirt and see things grow. Oh why Mother Nature I have been good!
This morning while getting ready for work. My Cat Sadie who normally looks like this and is 17 years old. Started running and skidding around the kitchen. I knew in my heart it can't be good. She stops and looks under a piece of furniture. I move the furniture and two little eyes look at me.
I scream and do a dance cause I don't want any mouse on me. Sadie goes in for the kill. She wanted to save her mom. The mouse looked dead and she is hitting it I yell "Sadie it is only playing!" Sadie didn't listen and it ran away and now one has seen it since. I text my husband to go home and check for it.
Nothing! and Sadie sits and looks around now and then but mostly snoozes. She is all worn out from her morning.Oh mouse where are you?

Yikes! Reminds me of our bat experiences. You are happily watching TV, when suddenly...a black flutter swoops by. We shut the den doors and go for a broom. When we return...nothing. Nothing for days, then months...then, you wonder where it actually went. It's never good.
Hope Sadie finds your mouse soon!

It must have come in from the woods to get warm. If that mouse is around Sadie will get it for sure. Seventeen or not the desire to hunt is strong. Good luck!!

Hi Cathy,
Looks like you had a little excitement this morning at your house! LOL That's me exactly when it comes to mice! Dave knows to keep them away from me if at all possible! Poor little Sadie looks like she feels the same way!
I had a few words with Mother Nature today too. It's really getting to be a drag! I bought more D3 at Walmart today to replace the lack of sunshine!
I'll hang in there if you do!
Hugs!

Oh sweetie, I would be on the table sitting. I am SO scared of mice. I think Sadie needs a little bribe, and maybe she would try a little harder.

Oh dear me. Oh dear me. I am laughing and laughing. When DH and I first got married, we were laying on the floor watching TV when we both saw a little shadow run across the front room. Needless to say, I was on the kitchen table and DH was making a run to the quick shop for a mouse trap. When he got home we sat that thing in the kitchen, and I did not go to sleep until I heard it POP. That little mouse was gone. You gave me a memory sweet friend. Thank you so much.

We were in the 90s all weekend and today we had a beautiful soft rain all day. The sun is just starting to set, and we are expecting beautiful 80s all week. I too, love digging in the dirt and working the soil. It makes me SO happy and my heart just SINGS. A wonderful reason that I live in the desert.

Many hugs sweetie and so much love, Sherry

Well, I do hope Sadie scared that mouse away! Mice just totally freak me out. For a couple of years I had a major problem and those da** mice could outsmart me. I was about ready to move...lol.
I hope springtime arrives soon for you. We are supposed to be getting colder again with a chance of flurries. I am so ready for warmer temps!
Hugs :)

God bless and try to enjoy your so call 'spring' day sweetie!!! :o)

I was told that mice travels in pair. Better invest in a couple of mouse traps since the cat doesn't know how to handle the little unwelcome visitor. Good luck in catching it, (the ). JB

Maybe Mother Nature came and took it and figured that was just one more way to torture you! So sorry about the snow...we may get it on Thurs...yucky! I laughed at the cat and mouse game because our cat is not as much of a killing machine in her older age...she prefers to snooze more than anything!

Oh no - Sadie will save Mom I'm sure! This brought a smile to my face (not for the fact that you are suffering though) When Miles was about 1 or 2 we lived in a half of an old house before we bought our house - well one early morning i'm laying on my stomach sleeping and my hand over my head petting what I thought was one of the cats - Nope I realized something felt wrong in my sleep stupor - Miles had put a half live mouse in my hand he caught (he always played with those fake ones and would hide them under my knee when i slept) Well needless to say I screamed - jumped out of bed and threw it - he caught it and threw it back - then there is the added comedy of a naked husband jumping out of the shower to see what the commotion was and the other two cats getting in the action - Way too much excitement for 4:30 a.m.!
