Oh Spring Where Are you?

I found a sweet little book that is a reprint of one of Tasha Tudor's books "A Tale For Easter"
I love her art work it has such a sweetness about it.
As I sit here I can hear the sleet hitting the window. We have had it all today, snow, rain, and sleet, I am ready for spring.
I watched hoarders again last night not sure why I do that because it always freaks me out. I now have a good size bag headed for the thrift store. With the cleaning and the bag headed out of the house I feel better. So if you see spring send her this way, I have missed her.
I haven't closed with a quote in awhile, I thought this appropriate:
Weather forecast for tonight: dark.    -George Carlin

I love Tasha Tudor' s work too and you're right, it has a sweetness and innocence about it. We haven't seen Miss Spring around here yet. I'll keep my eyes open for her. I hope that she shows up around here soon. I miss her too... It's just not the same without her. JB

The Hoarder show scares me LOL!! One day it will be spring then the next it will be 95!! LOL! We will complain of being hot.
It seems it is either freezing cold or hot.

Spring was on it's way to Whispering Pines...then it was rerouted by the flooding roads, then got lost in the snowstorm that is pelting my windows as I write this. I could hope it may arrive tomorrow, but fear it will slip on the ice, break something and not be able to get out of bed until late April. George Carlin's forecast has been here all week...starting at 7am!

I love Tasha Tudor...she had corgis too! Love the forecast quote. I am actually seeing parts of people's lawns here in our area! I saw some daffodil shoots coming up at our school...so she's been by but seems a bit scattered! I'll keep you posted if I catch sight of her. LOL
All the best,
Courtney

Your illustration of Tasha Tudor's is so sweet. I have some of her work and love to look at it over and over again.
Spring is teasing us here in N. Illinois. First a nice day then a cold. I can't remember a winter like this one.I guess we will all need a reminding when it is hot...Balisha

We had lots of snow last night but next week, it's going to be in the 50's!! I am a Tasha Tudor fan, too ~ had the honor of meeting her and working in her booth years ago at the Cincinnati Garden Show! She was quite interesting!

Springtime is alive and well here in Southern California. I'll tell it to head on down your way A.S.A.P. :-)

Let me start by saying that I hate winter with a passion, but I do love a March snowstorm. We had one here in northern Ohio and it was absolutely beautiful. The reason I love a March storm is because I know it won't stick around long. By Monday, the snow should be gone. Woo hoo!
Love the Carlin quote!

I love that pic. It reminds me of the Holly Hobby from when I was a girl. I might have to check this out more. Spring is one here way, we just have to let winter have its last hurrah! Hope it's done cheering.

Spring is coming soon . . . I just found a few baby daffodils today at our place.
Hope you have a great weekend, even if it is raining.

I've always loved Tasha Tudor's work!

As for the show, Hoarders, I agree - it is scary. It always makes me want to go clean and organize something - anything! Sadly, my husband and his family have an old family friend who is, indeed, a hoarder. I was warned before we visited her one afternoon (she lives several hours from here). There were literal walkways in the midst of tons of "stuff"! I couldn't wait to get out of there. I found it hard to focus on any conversation - my eyes were just bombarded by all the "stuff"!

I have watched Hoarders and it is depressing but what has me really depressed is a girl friend of mine of 30 years turned into one even worse than what you see on this show and I can not make myself go to her house anymore. It has caused a big break in our friendship but she is wealthy, healthy and I don't understand her.
I know it is a disease.
I had to laugh you taking a bag out of your house. I just did the same today to Goodwill and plan on doing it even more in the next few weeks.
Love ya
