Relaxing

I treated myself this weekend to a magazine. It is a big splurge for me 9.95 is a lot for a magazine. Well at least it is for me. I tried to save it for vacation but to late I already read it. It is wonderful with  great ideas.  I will pass it on to my daughter and anyone else who might like to read it.
Sat I went out for a short while thrifting. The thrift store had merchandise from a gift store that closed in their town. While I hate to see any store go out of business it was a great bonanza for my Easter. I got toys and stuffed animals for all the kids and small things to stuff in the eggs. I also got stocking stuffers for my daughter and a few goodies for myself. total about 11.00 not bad! All the animals are new with tags.
We are going on vacation at the end of next week and I will be wearing sandals. Since my feet haven't seen the light of day all winter. I thought I would give them a good soaking and fine tuning.  I don't want to scare anyone while on vacation. This foot soak is at least 30 years old but I haul it out every winter and boy does it feel good. I know I could have someone do it for me but I would be so embarrassed at how dry they are so I will give them a soak every night until we go.

Miss baby came for a visit today oh how I love that baby. I always get a sinking feeling when my daughter leaves. Not sure why that is she has been out of the house for some time now. She called to tell me they got home fine. She said " mom I hate to leave your house it is so relaxing" that is the best compliment ever. I think that is it, we relax and enjoy each others company it is hard for it to end.
Mother nature fooled with us,Thur and Fri were warm and lots of snow melted. Sat morning I got up it was snow flurries and a cold wind that lasted into Sun. Monday they predict a snow storm.  I have a busy week ahead hope you are all warm and cozy.

Cathy,
I agree with you at how expensive magazines are! I quit buying them for the most part but every now and then I have to buy one. The last one was Artful Blogging 14.99 Ouch! I preordered it online so didn't have to pay for shipping. It lasted me a few nights of good reading though!
I think I have to get me a foot soaker! I tried one once and it was great!!!

I'm happy you treated yourself this weekend. A foot soak and a new magazine are a nice splurge. This has been such a long winter - a vacation would be nice. Toes in the sand, I hope.

Great haul at the thrift store!! Isn't it funny, when your kids are grown, you think you would be able to relax. But, the mother instinct is always active!! Nice that she can relax at Mom's house...what a gift!
We are freezing here as well. But a nice fire is burning in the fireplace!

Wow you hit the jackpot on the Easter items and they are so cute!! What a great deal!I am so ready for Spring. Our weather was so warm a few days ago and melted all of the snow here and then turned a little cooler. I thank the Lord though that we are not getting anymore snow right now.I am really tired of the snow! Maybe the snow will head in a different direction and miss you!

Have a wonderful vacation! That's why I don't get pedicures - I'm sure they will be making nasty comments in their language - mine are dry dry dry! Fun getting bargains while thrifting!

I am such a magazineaholic..really, I need a 12 step program. I do so appreciate when good friends share theirs when done! Great finds for Easter too...and I smiled at the foot bath. I had one at some time and that pic makes me want another! We were all melted and warm the last few days...then this afternoon...pow! It's back! Snow I mean. Hopefully it will not be bad by you and soon I know spring will arrive!

Ouch on the magazine! I subscribe to too many, but at least that way you get a decent price.
Great Easter goodies!
My niece bought me one of those pedi-egg things. I didn't try it for months, but once I did I was SO IMPRESSED!!! It really does help get rid of the dry skin and mine is really bad. Just don't overdo it if you get one.
How nice to be looking forward to a vacation where it is warm...
Hugs :)
