A Day of Whining

So it snowed today and that means I cook. Not sure why I do that? But these are snicker doodles made from a cake mix.  They are good but it doesn't make very many. of course I make them the size of your head.
This is a very bad picture of a bird house that is across my yard. Since I didn't want to tramp trough the snow to get any closer. this is as good as it gets.
I was unable to spend the day with my daughter and grand baby because of the snow so I am not so happy. I heard the ground hog didn't see his shadow so an early spring. come on spring!!!!
No thrifting and nothing at the dump so not a good week all around. Ok I am done whining.
I will post again when I have something more interesting to say. I will close with a quote from my favorite, Johnny Carson.....Groundhog Day has been observed only once in Los Angeles because when the groundhog came out of its hole, it was killed by a mud slide....

HaHaHa! I do the same thing when it storms..snow storms that is. Rain doesn't bring out the cook in me. I made raisin, oatmeal, choc.chip, peanut butter chip cookies. That's one cookie recipe, not 4! It's called throwing in everything but the kitchen sink...it's called "snow storm binge".

I'm whining right along with ya! Cooking is a good way to spend a storm day. You have to have something ready to eat in case the power goes out. I just brushed about 10 inches of snow off my car. Now I need a treat.

It's ok, you deserve to whine! I'm whining about record low temps in Phoenix and that's nothing compared to what you all back east have been through!

Heeehehehe!!! Around these parts when someone mentions that the Groundhog did or didn't see his shadow they'll say,"well, that's the northern Groundhog...the Southern Grandhog...(insert whatever)!!!"

In any case we are 45 days away from spring!!! Woohoo!!

We go hit head on with the big winter storm and are still diggin' out but I am thrilled that we kept our power with all the ice that came before the snow!

God bless an have a warm cozy kinda day sweetie!!!

I don't dare bake because I'd eat it all even if it wasn't very good!
Hopefully you can visit with Brynlee very soon.

There's nothing wrong with a little whining now and then ;)
I think I have a hankering for some sweets now!

Hopefully it warms up for you soon and all the snow melts (in the non-icy kind of way). I'm ready for the snow here to vamoose!

I am afraid I've done too much baking too. This cold weather just drives me to the kitchen.
